Alan Moffat

Growing up, Moffat had natural athletic abilities as well as a coachable attitude. He attended the University of Ottawa and was drafted in the first round by the Edmonton Eskimos, but was traded to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before the season began. His performance earned him a nomination for the CFL Rookie of the Year award, and ensured his selection as offensive guard on the 1980 Eastern All-Star team.
