Mike Filer is a prominent Canadian football player known for his exceptional career as an offensive lineman in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Born on May 6, 1990, in Brantford, Ontario, Filer made a significant impact in the CFL, particularly with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, where he became a cornerstone of their offensive line.

Filer's journey began locally with the Brantford Bisons and at Brantford Collegiate Institute, before excelling at Mount Allison University, where his performance earned him significant accolades, including All-Canadian honors, attracting CFL attention.

Drafted in 2012 by the Calgary Stampeders, Filer found his enduring home with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, becoming a vital fixture on their offensive line and eventually the team's longest-tenured player. His tenure with the Tiger-Cats included three Grey Cup appearances and five Eastern Finals, playing in a total of 112 games.
