George Jones

2008 Inductee – Builder, Rugby

Known as “Mr. Rugby”, Jones cared deeply about the sport. He was an excellent player in his youth and became a very influential coach. He introduced many athletes to rugby and promoted the sport both locally and provincially. His passion for rugby shone as he taught players how to work as a team, and showed them how to love the sport. George Jones was named as a Sports Hall Honour Roll Member in 1993 and honoured once again as a Sports Hall Inductee in 2008.
