The team also played a few benefit games for various causes such as honouring the recently departed athlete Fred Corke. Harry Tune pitched a good game and Louis Smith was the star hitter of the night, scoring every time he was up! The Alerts claimed the Inter-County championships three years in a row by defeating Ingersoll in the ninth inning, setting a local record.
