Walter Wettges

2014 Honouree – Builder, Football

Walter Wettges was the founding President for the Brant & District Football Club. Wettges, also the founding President of the Ontario Varsity Football League, has been a part of the administration of the league that grew from 300 members to 2,700 in six years. He was the President of Football Ontario from 1995 to 1998 and was the Ontario Director for Team Canada’s gold medal team in 2000. Wettges also co-founded Ontario Tackle Football.com (OTFC) in 2001 and continues to support OTFC as an advisor.
