2015 Honouree – Builder, Basketball

Pat Woodburn Pat Woodburn’s rewarding basketball career began in the 1960s as a Brantford CYO Boys Basketball All Star. Through the 1970s, he went on to compete in three National Championships and was the Basketball Marshall at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Quebec. With a strong career as a player, Woodburn began his coaching career as the Brock University Women's Basketball Coach in 1977 through to 1983. It was there that the Canadian Olympic Association and Basketball Canada honoured him for coaching Olympic Team Member, Cindi Lohr.

Over the years, he has also added honours such as the 1983 Ontario Women’s Intercollegiate Athletes Association (OWIAA) Coach of the Year, the 1997 St. Catherine’s Sportsman of the Year, and is credited with starting the Brock Girls Summer Basketball Camp..
