Ron Birkett

Ron Birkett Ron Birkett was a committed coach. Birkett was a coach for various teams throughout his years. He coached in the Brantford Minor Baseball Association (BMBA) from 1973 to 1984. Throughout those years, he coached the Bantam House League team in 1973 and in 1982. Birkett coached the Bantam, Midget and Peewee All-Star teams. Birkett coached multiple teams to championships, some of these championship teams were: The Moose Lodge who won the 1973 Bantam House League Championship and the Navy Club who won the 1976 Inter County Baseball Association (ICBA) Bantam Championship. Not only did Birkett coach these teams, he also coached and managed the CKPC Junior Braves from 1986 to 1990. Through his years of coaching the Braves they won the ICBA Junior Championship in 1986 and 1987 as well as won the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) Championship in 1987. Birkett was a valuable member of the BMBA for 23 years.
