Larry Pennell Larry Pennell entered the Brantford Red Sox in the Senior Larry Pennell entered the Brantford Red Sox in the Senior Inter County Baseball Association (ICBA) in 1947. Pennell was Acting President and General Manager. He won the ICBA Championship in 1949 and won the Pennant in 1950 and 1951. In addition to Pennell’s commitment to baseball, he also operated the Brantford Red Men Intermediate “A” Football team that won the League Championship in 1947. He also operated the Brantford Red Men “A” Intermediate Hockey Team that won the 1947 Ontario Hockey Association Intermediate “A” Hockey Championship. Pennell had an outstanding career as a solicitor and Supreme Court Judge, Member of Parliament for Brant Haldimand from 1962 to 1968 and in 1965 was appointed Solicitor General of Canada.
